GET STRAIGHT TO THE POINT
(Be Clear With What You Want)
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome;
TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 4:6 AMP C “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.”
LET’S TALK
In Mark 10:46-52, we find the story of blind Bartimaeus who sat by the roadside in Jericho and begged for alms. As Jesus was making His way out of the city, a mammoth crowd thronged Him, and Bartimaeus asked the people around what the tumult was all about. He was told that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. Immediately, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.”
Then Jesus stopped, called for Bartimaeus to come, and asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” Strange! Even though it was obvious that Bartimaeus needed a miracle, Jesus still wanted him to express his desire in specific terms. And when Bartimaeus responded, “I want to receive my sight,” the Lord’s ensuing statement was, “Receive your sight!” and Bartimaeus was miraculously healed.
Do you know how to express your desires to God in times of need? Or do you just complain to Him? Understand that if you’re going to get His attention and take advantage of His extraordinary power in getting the things you desire, you must be specific in prayer. Say exactly what you want!
God doesn’t want you crying about your situation when you pray; He wants you to express your faith. Faith makes you a possessor! And when you’ve made your definite request of the Lord, give Him glory and keep your faith-switch turned on. It won’t be long before your miracle turns up.

Speak
My faith is built strong by the Word today, and I’m producing greater results as I make my specific requests known to God. I’m guided and inspired by His wisdom to make the right requests in prayer, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
