There has been so much bad news everywhere and the whole world is gripped in fear. Where lies the hope for a Christian? Is there any hope for a Christian? If there is, what is it? How do we access a solution? Does a Christian have any Authority to destroy the Coronavirus?The COVID-19 virus is one that has withstood the intelligence of Medical experts, Microbiologists, Biochemists, etc. Will it also withstand the authority of the very source of life, the one from which all life stems? The one that created all things.

In this book, we are going to examine what the Bible says about Coronavirus. You just asked, ‘does the Bible say anything about the Coronavirus?’ Yes, Coronavirus is a disease and Jesus talked several about diseases. The name of the particular virus does not matter. Not many viruses were discovered when Jesus lived on the surface of the earth. Viruses are named according to some conventions by Scientists. We will talk about some of these verses in this book.

Our Identity

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

What do you think happened to you when you became born again? Why did you give your life to Christ? Are there any benefits to it apart from going to heaven? Is there not supposed to be a difference between you and anyone who is not a Christian? A Christian is not a mere man. A Christian is someone that has moved from being a natural man into a supernatural man. A Christian is a new species of man, a man fashioned after the very image of God, carrying the actual life of God, housing the very source of all things, the true essence of life. A Christian is not just what you can see with the optical eyes, he has a Spirit in him which makes all the difference in the world. That is where the difference comes from, not in his appearance, his height, his degree or in his wealth.

Carrying the life of God in us, by default necessitates that we should be different in all ramifications. Our responses to life issues should be different. We can’t be scared and jittery like every other person is. There has to be an advantage we have as carriers of the life of God. It would be wrong and against our identity to be engulfed in fear like every other person is. There must be a difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary. So what is the difference between you and those who are not Christian?

You cannot fall sick. How? That is what the Bible says.

You have an Authority to destroy the Coronavirus

First of all, Ephesians 2:6 says:

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

God has made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We are seated together with Jesus in heaven, a place that is inaccessible to any virus including the Coronavirus. We are seated with Christ,

Far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Can you see the authority you have? You even have the authority to destroy the coronavirus, because Jesus said:

I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Coronavirus is of the enemy and Jesus Christ has given you the power to trample over it. He also said nothing shall by any means hurt you.

If you are a Christian, you should know that you are inaccessible to Coronavirus because your life is hidden inside of Christ.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col. 3:3)

You are a Joint Heir with Christ

Being a joint-heir with Christ means that you share in the blessings of Jesus. You share in his nature and his glory. Christ cannot fall sick, he lives beyond and above diseases. He lives in a place where these things don’t exist. See what Jesus said in John 17:22

And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.

You are one with God and therefore you cannot fall sick, except God can fall sick. You think this is not true just because you have always felt sick before now. Well, I have also fallen sick too until I realized this truth one day and I discovered that it is not normal for me to fall sick. I discovered my true nature and I tell you since I discovered this truth, I have not fallen sick. The Devil tries at times but I overcome him by the Word of God and reaffirming my identity in Christ.

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4)

Peter by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit declares to us that we are partakers of the Divine Nature of God. We carry his nature in our Spirit and guess what, the Spirit of God in us has an impact on our body, see what Paul says:

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Rom. 8:11)

The same spirit that raised a dead body to live, we are not even talking about healing. We are talking about a body that was lifeless, the Holy Spirit of God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. This Holy Spirit dwells in you and the Bible says He will quicken your mortal body. Meaning that He will give life to your body, a life that is not subject to sickness death or corruption. 2 Peter 1:4 that we read earlier says that we have escaped the corruption that is in the world.

Again affirming the kind of life we have received the Bible says that we are born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. (1 Peter 1:23)

Where we live

We live in Christ. The Bible says

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

We are just extensions of Jesus on earth, living the reality of His nature and exercising His authority. In Acts 17:28, we are also told that

in Him we live and move and have our being, …

Who is in us

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

We have the almighty God of life living in us. We have no reason to be afraid of Coronavirus.

So how do I avoid being infected by the Virus?

1. First of all, you need to cast out fear.

Fear is the Devil’s number one tool in destroying lives. Fear his like an enzyme the Devil releases to set up a good environment for him to wrought all manner of evil works. Fear is the absence of faith, and the Word of God cannot thrive where there is no faith. There is no reason logical reason to be afraid because even the fear you have does not prevent you from being infected so of what use is it? One of the reasons why the virus is spreading so fast is because people are so much in a panic about it. COVID-19 is really deadly, yet there are many people who have recovered from it naturally without any vaccines. So even the human body is able to fight it naturally and overcome. How much more the Word of God or the Spirit of God that dwells in us as Christians?

The Bible tells us in the book of 2 Timothy 1: 7 that

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Fear does not come from God. The nature of the coronavirus is not enough to get into fear. The effect of God’s love is far bigger than anything COVID-19 can do. One droplet of the blood of Jesus shed for you on the cross is over-sufficient to wipe out all the coronaviruses in the entire world.

When there is fear in your mind, you would not be able to think right. Even the word of God will be choked in your mind and it will be of no effect. So how can you cast out fear from your mind?

2. Meditate on God’s Word.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

When you meditate on God’s love for you, you would not be afraid of coronavirus. God is more concerned about you staying healthy and safe than you are. He has made a provision for your divine health a long time ago. He prophesied through David in the book of Psalm 91: 9-12

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,

Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

No evil shall befall you,

Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

For He shall give His angels charge over you,

To keep you in all your ways.

In their hands they shall bear you up,

Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

See the magnitude of God’s love for you. He laid down His life just to have you and give you a glorious life. If you were the only human on earth, God would have still died for you. God loves us unconditionally, regardless of what we do because the Bible says while were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) In His love He,

has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue

3. Choose not to lose your Peace.

Another instruction we are given in the Bible is to ‘rejoice always’. (Phil. 4:4) It sounds absurd for someone to think of rejoicing in the light of the current happenings of the world, but it is possible. Paul said that because he knows we can only fight the battle against the troubles of this world in an active, happy state of mind. You would have noticed that your mind is not productive when you are happy, sad, bitter or angry. Being excited about the hope you have in Christ is a necessary step in winning the fight against the Coronavirus.

There have been many kinds of research on how the human body affected by emotions, and science has been able to prove that negative emotions cause a release of some chemicals to the human body that can lead to illness. Staying happy is a good way of staying healthy. The Bible says in the book of Proverbs 17:22

A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

This means that happiness and peace of mind, helps your body stay healthy, keeps your mind active and ready to take necessary steps to avoid troubles.

4. Control your Information Intake

Fear or Faith comes through knowledge. You can only be scared of what you know and faith also comes by hearing the word of God. (Rom. 10:17) I will give you an example. There is a reality TV show called ‘ultimate love’ that started in Nigeria before anyone was found with the Coronavirus. This show houses young ladies and men who are in search of a life partner. They are shut in a house with no access to the outside world, they receive no news, no access to the internet, no phones or any electronic gadget. The coronavirus was getting stronger and stronger in Nigeria but these people lived their lives in peace and joy every day without any form of fear. It was not because they were not in Nigeria, or they were immune to the virus, it was simply because they were not aware of what was going on in the outside world. Fear would begin for them only when they step outside of that house and realize that there is a ‘Coronavirus’.

Unfortunately, the news media in the world capitalizes on ‘bad news’ and deemphasize good news. Bad news does not help, they only dampen your faith. Of course, it is necessary to be informed about what happens in your world and be educated on necessary health tips to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus but we must find a way to disengage ourselves from being saturated by the negativity of the Coronavirus. There is a lot of good news about the Coronavirus that is not magnified, for instance, in Nigeria, more people have recovered naturally from the Coronavirus than have died through it.

As Christians, we should rather saturate our mind daily on the Word of God that shows you your authority to destroy the Coronavirus. Scriptures that talk about our authority, our identity and what God has given unto us an inheritance. We should also listen to audio teachings that would edify us. Watch Christian channels and listen to Christian radio stations. Tune your TV more to the Christian channels that you do to News stations. There are a lot of Christian resources available on the Internet. 5. Watch Your Communication

Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

The words you speak at these times are very important. Many people come on Social Media to say all manner of things, some full of hopelessness and negativity to join to say such. Keep your communication clean and hinged on the Word of God. Say only what God says, remember:

For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Cor. 5:7)

The words that you speak ultimately affect your faith. You can join other people to agree to words that do not conform to the Word of God, just because you want to sympathize with them, it will affect your faith.

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. (Eph. 4:29)

Let every word that you speak be that which will affect the people listening to you positively. Don’t talk or think based on what you can see only. Talk like God, because you are one with Him.

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. (1 Cor. 6:17)

And remember that

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Rom. 8:6)

6. Let the Word of God be on your Mind & on Your Mouth

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

At these times, you must meditate more on the Word of God day and night. This will help keep your mind in tune and eliminate fear. As you are meditating on the Word, also speak it out. Maintain a daily attitude of confession. Have sessions where you just declare God’s word concerning your health and your life every day. Like David said,

Blessed is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor stands in the path of sinners,

Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

And in His law [the Word of God] he meditates day and night.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

7. Stay Connected with other Christians

There is no time you need to stay connected with other Christians than now. You need to be around people with the same mindset as you. People who would share life with you and not fear. I know it is not possible to meet physically as usual but you can meet on various chatting platforms or even do video calls. Stay connected as much as you can, a bunch of brooms is not easy to break like a broomstick is. We are told in Hebrew not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together but exhort one another. (Hebrew 10:25). The importance of this cannot be over-emphasized, Proverbs 27:17 says:

As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

We are stronger when we are together than when we are in isolation. The Devil our adversary walks like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 8:5). The Devil, like a lion, looks for people in isolation, they are his weak prey. It is more difficult for Devil to attack our faith when we are in a group.

8. Don’t be deceived.

Coronavirus is not from God. God is not judging the world with a plague, God judged the world in Jesus. Jesus Christ bore the full wrath and punishment for our sins on the cross and it was all finished. As Isaiah 53:4 – 5 said:

Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

The Bible also says:

Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit

So, there is no way God will punish Christians for the sins Jesus paid. After all, every form of disease is a work of the Devil and Jesus Christ was made manifest that He might destroy the works of the Devil.

What you should if you get infected?

Know that Jesus has provided healing for you since over 2, 000 years ago. Everything on earth, in heaven and under the earth bows to Him including Coronavirus. There is nothing that cannot be healed at His name. Miracles have happened at the name of Jesus and they are still happening. The dead come back to life, cancer leaves, and demons bow.

There are millions of testimonies of people who have received their healing and yours would not be different. Do not lose hope, there is a way out for you.

1 Peter 2: 24

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

The disease on your body is illegal, it is an infringement on your right and it is not real. It is not real because Jesus destroyed it on the cross. It does not exist where we live. We live in Christ, He is our rock, our home, and our life. According to Colossians 2:15

Having disarmed principalities and powers, He (Jesus Christ) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

And this includes Coronavirus. You have been healed a long time ago. Rise up and proclaim your healing, command the virus to die in your body. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Cor. 6:19) Coronavirus cannot dwell in your body. You have been redeemed from sin and diseases bought with the precious blood of the lamb. (Eph. 1:7) Stir up your faith, kill the viruses by the Word of God. Proclaim your identity every day, declare that you cannot be sick and you cannot die, even when you feel sick. Death is not for you, you shall live and not die to declare the works of the Lord on the land of the living.

I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. (Psalm 118: 17)

Death has been swallowed up in victory. Do not give up, no matter how you feel. Those symptoms are not real, it’s a mirage of the Devil. It is as good as when you slaughter a chicken and the body continues to vibrate even after the head is cut off, it doesn’t mean that it still has life, it only has a form of life which will fade away very soon.

I am not a fallen man. I am not a natural man, I am supernatural.

What affects other men does not affect me, I died with Christ and resurrected with Him.

I have received authority, to trample upon every power of the Devil and nothing can hurt me.

I have no fear, I am strong, courageous and bold.

No sickness can come near me or my wife, husband, child[ren], friends, siblings, family and anyone around me.

I am an overcomer. I have overcome the world.

I will not die until I fulfill my mission on earth.

I live in God’s love experiencing His love tangibly every day of my life.
