HE ONLY WANTS TO HELP (God Is Willing To Help You Always)

TO THE BIBLE
Luke 5:12-13 GNB “Once Jesus was in a town where there was a man who was suffering from a dreaded skin disease. When he saw Jesus, he threw himself down and begged him, “Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean!” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!” At once the disease left the man.”

LET’S TALK
Hugh prayed desperately as he stared at the test paper, “Lord, I know I didn’t study as I should have for this test, so I don’t know if you’ll be willing to help me. Please have mercy on me and help!”

That’s just like some Christians. They think God isn’t willing to help them in their time of dire need, because of something they did or didn’t do. But God isn’t that way! Not only is He ever-ready to help you, He’s more willing for you to have an excellent life than you could ever be.

In Jeremiah 29:11, He said, “…I know the thoughts that I think toward you…thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” The leper in our theme scripture didn’t question the Lord’s power to heal him; what he didn’t know was if He would. 3 John 2 expresses the Lord’s willingness and desire for your total prosperity: “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers” (NASB).

Health, financial prosperity, and the good-life are your divine inheritance in Christ. Your desire for success and for the good things of life was placed in you by God. It’s a reflection of God’s desire and will for you (Philippians 2:13), and no good father wants his children to go through life suffering as victims.

Our Lord Jesus, through His vicarious death on the cross, brought us into a life of glory and excellence. He’s more willing to provide for you than you could ever be willing to receive from Him. Let this truth be settled in your heart once and for all, and lay bold claim to everything He’s made available to you!
