STOP THEM! (Pray Against Wicked And Unreasonable Men)
TO THE BIBLE
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.”
The Apostle Paul asked for the saints to pray for
him and other minsters with him, that they may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men who were against the faith and the preaching of the Gospel. How we need such prayers even today! When decrees
or laws are passed that are anti-Christian or against the preaching of the Gospel, or when corrupt officials and
collaborators steal, cheat, and destroy what belongs to our collective society, you must be aware that such things are done by unreasonable and wicked men who have found their way into power for their own selfish ends.
We also need to recognise that we can do something about this. In fact, God expects us to, because in the third verse of 2 Thessalonians 3, we’re given the assurance that we have His attention when we pray against such: “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” You’ve got so much power, but you won’t enjoy it with your lips closed. For that power to be effective, you have to open your mouth and pray, and declare what you want to see in your country.
You’re not in any way helpless or hamstrung. You’re not at the mercy of the evil machinations and strategies of unreasonable and wicked men, irrespective of the positions they occupy. You can stop them in their tracks through prayer! I challenge you today to be that righteous young man or woman who will take a stand in prayer, and not stop praying until there’s a change!
Psalm 2:1-9; Proverbs 16:12; 2 Corinthians 8:9
I stand against every corrupt, unreasonable and wicked political office holders and I take authority over the demonic forces that influence them to imagine vain things and conceive evil against the Gospel and the Church. I unseat them from office and replace them with God-fearing men and women who will function in God’s will for my country, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
